Soccer Parent Mentorship Program In Central Arkansas.
New Local Soccer Program LUFOY ACADEMY - Launches Innovative Parent Mentorship Initiative to Grow the Game
Central Arkansas – 8/13/2025 – A brand-new soccer program in Central Arkansas is stepping onto the field with an exciting mission: to bridge the gap between the game and the parents who support the athletes who play it. The LUFOY ACADEMY has announced the launch of its Soccer Parent Mentorship Program, designed specifically to help soccer parents gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the sport’s origins, culture, strategies, and evolving future.
Soccer is the world’s most popular sport, but for many parents in the U.S., its rich traditions, tactical nuances, and developmental pathways can feel unfamiliar. This mentorship initiative seeks to change that by providing parents with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to become more informed supporters and advocates for their young athletes.
“Parents are the biggest influence on a young player’s journey,” says Coach Thabo Masoga, Co-Founder of the LUFOY ACADEMY. “When parents truly understand the game – where it comes from, how it’s played, and where it can take their children – they can better guide, encourage, and support their kids’ growth in soccer.”
The program will combine classroom-style learning with hands-on experiences. Parents will be introduced to soccer’s rich global history, from its early origins in England to its rise as the modern game played in over 200 countries. They will learn about international soccer cultures, major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup coming to the United States in 2026, and how the sport’s governing bodies operate.
On the practical side, sessions will cover rules of the game, player positions, tactical formations, and the role of coaches and referees. Special workshops will explore the modern player development pathway – from youth leagues to college recruitment, semi-professional play, and professional careers both domestically and abroad.
To make the experience even more engaging, parents will have the chance to attend live matches with expert guides, participate in small-sided games to learn by playing, and engage in Q&A sessions with experienced coaches and former professional players.
The Future of Soccer in Arkansas
The LUFOY ACADEMY sees this initiative as an investment in the local soccer community. By creating a knowledgeable parent base, the program hopes to strengthen the culture of the sport in Central Arkansas. Parents who understand the game can help ensure that players remain motivated, navigate challenges, and explore the full range of opportunities soccer provides – from scholarships and travel experiences to professional contracts.
